The Machine is Using Us
We were asked to watch the video on Youtube called The Machine is Using Us. It was intriguing to watch because it shows how vastly the web is evolving and how everyone is or will be affected by it. It's not just writing either but I liked how they showed Youtube as another way for people to find out what's going on. You can find out so much information on the web from today and the past. Because the web is evolving and everyone around us is using it in some shape or form there are things that we need to watch for. Privacy is changing... the way we send and receive news is forever changing. I thought the video gave a neat insight on how we are being impacted by the "machine."

The web is such a wonderfull tool. It allows us to do just about anything with a blink of a eye. That ease and quickness though can turn for the worst. I completely agree with you that privacy is changing and it scares me to think that the internet lacks the abilty to "delete" information that we don't want to share.
ReplyDeleteThe changes in privacy that you mention can be a bit frightening. Employees never know how their computer use is monitored, patients no longer have confidential records and bank account information may not safe.
